At Gova, We Believe in Change Through Solidarity

At Gova, we share the vision that the world can only be changed through cooperation and solidarity. After a year full of global conflicts, a new year brings the opportunity to be better and help those in need.

Discover the beauty of Down syndrome in this inspiring project and embrace a year filled with purpose.

Changing Perspectives on Down Syndrome

For years, people with Down syndrome have been looked down upon due to a misunderstanding of their abilities.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of new studies and institutions like the Center for Active Teaching and Learning (CEAA) and Fundación Andrea 3.21, we are changing the paradigm of how people with Down syndrome should be treated.

A World of Possibilities

On December 3, 2020, in honor of the International Day of Disability, Fundación Andrea 3.21 launched the calendar “A World of Possibilities 2021”.

The mission is to showcase to society the beauty and potential of people with Down syndrome and/or intellectual disabilities—individuals full of possibilities who deserve a chance to grow and thrive.

From Activity: How Down Syndrome Should Be Approached

In the past, families where a person was born with Down syndrome and/or an intellectual disability often hid them and did not make them part of everyday life.

Thanks to scientific advances, we now know that this does not have to be the case—but it is up to all of us to be an active part of their inclusion in society.

A World of Possibilities

With the calendar “A World of Possibilities 2021”, Fundación Andrea 3.21, in collaboration with CEAA and Gova, highlights the skills and activities that people with Down syndrome and/or intellectual disabilities can develop when given the opportunity to grow as independent individuals.

It is from their abilities and achievements—not their disability—that they should be perceived.

Reaching Their Full Potential

The calendar aims to show that with proper care, all people can reach their maximum potential, achieve a dignified life, and become self-sufficient, especially those with an intellectual disability.

The key is to not leave them alone—with everyone’s support, they can show us how far they can go in their lives.

A Personalized Approach for Every Individual All people are different, with unique needs.

Fundación Andrea 3.21 promotes personalized treatment for people with Down syndrome and/or intellectual disabilities, creating spaces and programs where each individual receives the support and care tailored to their specific needs.

Creating Synergies for an Inclusive Society

We have already shared our dream of making Puerto Vallarta the Latin American capital for the care of people with Down syndrome and/or intellectual disabilities.

Our goal is to build a comprehensive care center with the best specialists in each field, empowering individuals to reach their full physical, intellectual, emotional, and professional potential.

Turning Dreams into Reality

Although this dream center has not yet been built, the work being done with children in Puerto Vallarta is already a reality.

Fundación Andrea 3.21 firmly believes that everyone who needs care should receive it, ensuring that financial limitations are never a barrier to achieving a dignified life.

A Collective Effort

This work cannot be done alone.

Although Gova donated more than 200,000 pesos to the foundation at the launch of the "A World of Possibilities 2021" calendar to help continue providing scholarships, there is still much to be done.

Beyond showcasing the capabilities of people with Down syndrome, the main purpose of "A World of Possibilities 2021" is to raise funds to continue offering scholarships to children who need care to achieve a fulfilling life.
